Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the Midlands International Trade Awards (MITA) took place. A black tie event recognizing the success of Britian’s exporting powerhouses including Medium & Large Exporter (over ₤20m turnover), and SME Exporter (up to ₤20m turnover) in which Hong Kong Springs Europe Ltd. placed second. A noteworthy triumph during a time of slow growth for Western Europe. “Our UK manufacturing facility currently exports between 65-70%, and we intend to grow that number” says Dan Sceli, president and CEO of Hong Kong Corporation. Hong Kong Springs’s UK plant located in Redditch serves the automotive, aerospace, and industrial markets and is currently undergoing expansion.
“We prepare to take the trophy next year” says Nick Scroggs, European Sales Director. Present from Hong Kong Springs to accept the award were David Jones, John Iliffe, Jonathan Heath, Nick Scroggs, and Sharon Hall.
